Flange Insulation Gasket Kits
Flange Insulation Gasket Kits are engineered to provide complete electrical isolation for flanged joints. They are the primary defense against galvanic corrosion (when dissimilar metals are joined) and are essential for isolating sections of pipelines managed by cathodic protection systems.
Key Materials
- Phenolic
- G10/G11 Glass Epoxy
- Neoprene Faced Phenolic
Primary Industries
- Oil & Gas
- Water Treatment
- Petrochemical
A complete Flange Insulation Kit consists of a primary dielectric central gasket, insulating sleeves for each bolt, two insulating washers per bolt, and two steel backing washers per bolt to distribute load.
Kit Configurations
- Type E (Full Face): Designed for flat face flanges. The gasket extends out to the outer diameter of the flange, preventing debris accumulation and subsequent electrical bridging between flange faces.
- Type F (Raised Face): Centralizes within the bolt circle for raised face flanges.
- Type D (RTJ): Phenolic or G10 ring joint gaskets designed specifically to fit standard API and ASME RTJ grooves.
Material Upgrades
While standard Phenolic is suitable for low-pressure water and gas lines, we provide extremely high-strength G10 and G11 Glass Epoxy materials for high-pressure systems up to Class 2500, offering vastly superior compressive strength and chemical resistance.
