Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), widely known as Teflon, is the ultimate sealing material for highly aggressive chemical environments. Our PTFE gaskets offer virtually universal chemical resistance (pH 0-14), exceptional dielectric properties, and zero moisture absorption.

Material Grades
- Virgin PTFE: Pure, unpigmented PTFE offering the highest degree of chemical resistance and electrical insulation. Highly susceptible to cold flow (creep).
- Expanded PTFE (ePTFE): A multi-directional fibrous structure that provides the chemical resistance of virgin PTFE but completely eliminates cold flow. Highly compressible and ideal for fragile glass-lined or plastic flanges.
- Filled PTFE: Blended with glass, carbon, or barium sulfate to vastly improve mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, and resistance to creep at high temperatures.
PTFE Envelope Gaskets
For applications requiring the chemical resistance of PTFE but the compressibility and recovery of a standard elastomeric or non-asbestos gasket, we manufacture PTFE Envelope Gaskets. These consist of a thin PTFE “V” shaped jacket (the envelope) that completely shields a compressible core material from the aggressive media.
